Extremely Bad Service

On the 20th of August we went to Tile Africa in Roodepoort to ask them to order the tiles as per our qoute we received from Tile Africa in Pretoria East, so Donovan at the store informed us that the tiles are discontinued and he won't be able to order the tiles. Obviously to my disappointment becuase now I have to start all over. So I phoned the Pretoria branch to find out if it is really discontinued. The gentleman there informed me yes it is but Tile Africa have 400 boxes of the tile that's been discontinued, before I had to ask he offered to get the tiles I need from them and that it won't be a problem. So I'm thinking why was I not given this offer at the Roodepoort branch? So I phoned the Roodepoort branch and spoke to Austin he then confirmed yes they can do the same but there will be additional charges. He then said he will see if there are not stock at one of the branches closer then there will be no charge. So he found the stock at Randburg, so again I'm asking why couldn't Donovan do the same (because customer service is not his priority but playing with other customers children are more important)?

So we went back to Tile Africa to pay for the tiles so that the order could be placed. We thought wow at least Austins service is better, well so we thought. I tolf Austin please make sure you are here when I come and collect the stufg because I don't want to deal with any one else, yes mam not a problem I will make sure of that (Austins exact words). So on Friday I received a call from Austin to say all the tiles are there, I said I will come and collect it tomorrow (Saturday 26 August) will you be there was my question. Yes mam don't worry I will be here.

So Saturday I get to the store and asked for Austin, sorry mam it's Austin weekend off. Immediately I am furious because there again it's proven to me that I don't count as a customer and Tile Africa are only in it for the money.

So a lady by die name of Val then assisted me to get everything ready, I explained to her my frustration and she told me this was raised so many time to the branch manager but nothing is done from his side. Well I guess that's the example that the Branch Manager sets fir his staff so why would they care then?

So to my surprise there is 1 sheet short of my mosaic, after I was, promised everything was there. So Val said to me mam we we're 2 people who counted and there we're definitely there, some asshole must have ****** one of the sheets. Really I as a customer want to hear that.

I then was promised the other sheet will be there on Sunday, so I said the sheet can be delivered to my house on Monday because I'm not available on Sunday and I'm not taking time of from work to fetch the sheet. I was promised by Val she will phone me on Monday and get Austin to deliver the sheet to my neighbor as I wi arrange with het to take the sheet.

Well not that I'm surprised but till date I have heard nothing from anyone at the branch about my sheet.

I went to CTM and bought the rest of the stuff I needed. R8 300 was spent at CTM and it was so nice to deal with staff that are competent and treated me as a person.

I will make sure people knows not to buy at Tile Africa Roodepoort.
