Exploding frame less shower door followed by poor response

<p>On 23/07/2015 i purchased a "Stephano Pivot Frameless shower" from Tile Africa Springfield Park Durban. To my horror earlier on the 29 May 2017 at approx 9.30pm i was woken from my sleep by a huge explosion, which i thought was a break in entry to my house but upon investigation found my shower door had exploded into thousands of pieces without even being used since 6am that morning. A few hours prior to the explosion i heard a distinct loud sound of glass fracturing/ cracking and only investigate the other bathroom shower, which i was using but did not see anything wrong. i then reported the matter to Tile Africa Springfield and explained that we had not even used the shower but it "mysteriously" exploded while asleep and they promised to have the shower door replaced but never did. they gave me the shower rep (Clinton) number and told me to deal directly with him but he said they are not prepared to replace it and did not even look into it. Only excuses on "what could have went wrong" but no support in replacement thereof received. Surely there should be some reasonable life expectancy on any product purchased and under 2 years seems very short to me and unconsiderate, if this is life expectancy of the unit.</p> <p> </p> <p>PATHETIC AFTER SALES SERVICE AND SUPPORT FROM TILE AFRICA. </p> <p> </p> <p>Highly dissapointed and will not advise anybody i know to deal with them</p> <p>Elton</p> <p> </p>
