Think Digital programme not functional enough
I have a daughter that is at a school using this programme. She has ADHD. I find it frustrating. If you are for example on Maths 5.1 and you finish that section u can't just go to the next section 5.2. You have to go back to the Dashboard and click on the subject Maths again! How is this possible? Poor design.
Ontop of that the student can't really be checked if they know the work after each section as they do the questionare in their writing books and if the teacher at the school doesn't mark it (as at this school) the child has no idea if they are even doing it right. The programme also shows after each section a "viewed" checkpoint to show that the student has viewed the slide. That "view" cud b anything from 1 second to 5min. Nobody will know. One does get a weekly report to show how much time they spent on each subject but that isn't an accurate indication to know if the child has learned anything. There aren't enough checks and controls to see if the student actually understands the work. Until they write exams. Jacqui vd Westhuizen

This can aid in better retention and understanding of the material.
However, we recognise that this design choice may not be ideal for everyone, and we are always looking for ways to enhance user experience.
Regarding the assessment method, while students do complete questionnaires in their writing books, this practice is designed to mimic traditional classroom activities and promote handwriting and cognitive processing skills. Memos for all the activities have been made available to assist parents/learners/teachers with marking. We understand the concern about timely feedback, which is why we provide comprehensive weekly reports. These reports are meant to give an overview of time spent and progress in each subject, aiding both parents and teachers in identifying areas where additional support might be needed.
To ensure that our platform is the right fit for each student’s needs, we offer a two-week free trial. This trial period allows parents and students to fami****ize themselves with the platform's functionality and to determine how well it aligns with their educational goals and needs.
