THINK DIGITAL ACADEMY - HONEST REVIEW
My unbiased opinion on Think Digital.
PROS: 1. Think Digital on the CAPS Curriculum is perfectly fine for LOWER grades as its fun and interactive. (preschool to Grade 3). 2. Its affordable. 3. Its flexible, so you can fit it around your families irregular schedule.
CONS: 1. Regardless of Grades, the lessons are not printable, and I spent hours taking screen shots, printing out the questions, and pasting them in my child's workbook, so he did not skip questions. Questions pertaining to each lesson should be printable. 2. An entire maths book as given as a downloadable reference in GRADE 4. (seriously?) 3. Lessons are sub-standard for GRADE 4 and beyond. 4. The Exam questions where repeated, and the questions ridiculously easy.

However, to support effective learning and easy reference, we provide printable study notes, memos and assessments, all of which include the questions featured in the lessons. These resources are created specifically to aid review and reinforce understanding, without the need for screenshots or manual transcription.
2. Grade 4 Maths Book
The additional mathematics book provided in Grade 4 is intended as supplementary enrichment, offering optional practice for learners who wish to extend their skills. It is not a core requirement and is offered for families who prefer extra exercises beyond the standard curriculum.
3. Exam Repetition
Repetition is a well-recognised and effective learning technique, particularly for foundational subjects. Our exams are carefully designed to reinforce key concepts through spaced repetition and practice, helping students retain information and build confidence. Nonetheless, we are reviewing all assessments to ensure they strike the right balance between accessibility and academic challenge.
4. Lesson Quality for Grade 4 and Beyond
Our content for all grades is 100% aligned with the CAPS syllabus and assessment outcomes and is developed by qualified subject matter experts and educators. Every lesson is mapped to specific curriculum requirements to ensure learners stay on track academically.
