Forced to use AI app!
Enrolled my son in grade 10 last year for 2025, was not advised that we are being forced into using a AI invigilation app. My family do not agree to using any form of AI in our home or office. it is an invasion of my privacy - my choice! When did an adult HUMAN invigilator become less trusting that an AI!?!?! I will be taking this matter up with the National consumer complaints commission!

It is certainly not an unfair practice for a school to implement its own assessment policies, including the use of the Invigilator App. Just as traditional schools set their own invigilation requirements for in-person exams, online institutions must establish secure, credible and standardised measures for assessments. The Invigilator App is an essential tool designed to ensure academic integrity and fairness for all students completing online assessments. As an online school, we must comply with assessment regulations and maintain credibility in the evaluation process. AI proctoring helps us achieve this in a scalable and consistent manner.AI-assisted invigilation is widely used in online education worldwide, not because human invigilators are *************, but because it provides scalability, security and fairness in an environment where traditional invigilation is not feasible. This approach ensures that every student is assessed on their own merit, free from external influences.
We strive to maintain transparency in all our policies. The use of AI invigilation is part of our assessment policy, which is shared with all enrolled families. That being said, we fully respect your right to choose the best educational setting for your child. if you'd like to discuss this further, we're happy to assist.
