The TEFL Support Lady refund ****
This company recruited me with a money back guarantee if I wasn't placed in a job within 2 months. I'll give you the short version: I paid the fee, I did a simple ****** puzzle to receive a "globally recognised certificate", I had training and still knew nothing about being a teacher. Introduction videos had to be redone over and over. My CV was faulty and had to be redone. The woman who recruited me, Sami, started with a regular "radio silence" the moment she had my money. The entire 2 month episode could have been done in 1 week if she hadn't ignored me for weeks on end when I had questions. I tried to find my own work and I was told that the certificate is only accepted by companies affiliated with The Tefl Support Lady. So after months and no placements or even a job interview I asked for a refund, at least I can pay off some of the loan I made to prepare equipment and pay for the "course". Immediately the refund policy was changed and Sami went from zero to nasty in ten seconds. Insulting me for being at a funeral and not available on the day she COULD have gotten me an interview (which was already past two months). She and her "boss" was not phased by my screenshots of her promising me a refund. The policy was changed after I signed up, so it should not apply to me. I feel that The Tefl Support Lady will lure vulnerable people in with their refund promises and then leave you hanging and fending for yourself. I did some research and found similar complaints from other women. This company appears to be a ****, they DO NOT PLACE UNEXPERIENCED PEOPLE in jobs even though they tell you they can. They will promise you that they can prepare you for a job you have never done and they don't. I called Sami out for ****ming me and I was told that her boss said she can ignore me because I called her a ****mer. I left swearing at her, what a mean awful human being. This is the short version of everything I had to deal with and I have evidence of everything. I prefer never to deal with this company again and I will warn others for as long as it takes.
