The Space - Colleen Eitzen

I have been a customer at The Space, Colleen Eitzen's shop, for between 15 and 20 years. Despite the prices I have always wanted to support South African designers. In the time I have been a customer I have returned two items with quality complaints.

I bought a Colleen Eitzen dress last month for over R1000. I wore this dress onceand then carefully followed the hand washing instructions. The dress shrank at least one size and I noticed that the seams were coming apart. I returned the dress with full faith that I would receive good customer service.

The designer never contacted me, she told her staff to let me know that I had bought a size too small for me and there was nothing she could do.

Colleen Eitzen is an owner at The Space. I suppose in some respect I am glad that they are doing well enough to lose customers.

I will not support them any longer
