Hard to believe that SACAP represents the top of the industry

SACAP puts pressure on architects to be at the top of their game and make it difficult to become a member. We are monitored closely to ensure that we never make a mistake. However, they are appallingly unprofessional. Hard to believe that they represent us at all. When I call the office they don't even answer the phone as well at the receptionist at my local car dealership. It is like phoning the chip shop - a dull "hello". I have sent numerous emails for a year now and each time I get sent an utterly non-sensical response which has nothing to do with my query. The law dictates that we cannot practise unless we are registered but being registered and staying registered seems impossible. The twitter feed is riddled with spelling mistakes and does not engage with members - just strange impersonal press releases. I have elevated my queries to the highest level and still no closer to getting any sort of resolution. They claim that they are elevating the association to international standards but having worked in many countries around the world (including 3rd world countries) and this is by far the most unprofessional and ***********. The other thing is that they do not employ any architects so how do they know what the standards are? Each person I have managed to speak to has just been an administrator, a tick-boxer. No ability to respond to queries which are non-standard.
