SACAP unfair treatment of medically unfit students

The institution is unable to effectively accommodate medically unfit students who become seriously ill through the course of their studies. An argument can be made the SACAP contravenes higher education policies of inclusion in that if a student in the CPP short learning programme is unable to attend an intensive for medical reasons, they apply the harsh penalty of forcing the student to defer. No effort is made to be an inclusive institution and the student is “punished” for something outside of their control. The administration has no real intention of accommodating students who cannot physically be on campus for medical reasons, and as such, takes a position that exclusion is the only option in the age where full hybrid and online modalities are fully functional.
