Best School Ever (worth a read)

Super excited about starting a new journey in her life, I went with my partner to the open day a whole bunch of things were said regarding the prices of subjects and why they were so expensive which were understandable, and the school sounded pretty cool. we were a bit stressed as we'de just moved in together and finances weren't looking so good on our side, so she knew she might have to start working part-time during the year. Their words: "but don't worry if you decide to take a break for a term there will be no extra charges and you just carry on from where you left off..."

Well to our surprise after taking a semester break, the full semester tuition was due in full within a few days (this was halfway through her semester, and also the first time we'd heard of monies owed to the school). This is also after it was paid, 14 months prior to them asking for it. We asked the accountant 'what is going on' and she said 'oh that's a mistake' and that she would sort it out.

...or so we though...

TWO DAYS LATER We got another notice saying +-R3380 was owed and should be paid immediately or she would be removed from the student portal (where she hands in all of her assignments). Naturally, we panic (for those of you that don't know they are stricter on their assignments than they are on keeping track of monies, if you miss a date on an assignment you stand to fail your course). So we contact the accountant again...

She sounded very confused and said that the R3500 was a yearly increase for the 3 subjects. -to put things into perspective- the subjects are already +-R6000 a semester and there are about 20 students in a class so within the next 5 years the school is going to be making +-R11 000 on a subject x 20 students is R220 000 in three months for a lesson once a week of 3 hours. That means that the cost per an hour of that class is just over R6000. (just a bit overpriced but really a good school *thumbs up emoji*) {the numbers aren't exact, but they are reasonably close}

We accepted this and were then told when she called in that the payment was to be made by the end of the semester. more confusion... as they had just said it must be made immediately...

TWO DAYS LATER... Then we got a mail saying that Her account will be stopped if R 20 000 is not paid into the account by the end of the month. (The whole story started quite close to the end of the month)

Now her account has been closed and we are struggling to get anything sorted. Her assignments can't be handed in because she doesn't have access to her student portal, and of course, while she sits at home she is not spending time on her assignments because she is super busy trying to get a hold of anyone at SACAP that would listen to her, and stressing about why she suddenly owes SACAP an extra semester of tuition fee's.

Update while I was typing this we managed to find out that the R3500 is registration fees which no one knows about because they lie about everything... (refer to paragraph one at the top of the page) If we had know that there was an extra cost she would have studies the previous semester and not pushed it out with three months...

So really a good school I would recommend it to anyone looking to get anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder and depression all in one place.
