Nothing Royal about the Royal hotel anymore

<p>I celebrated my Birthday this weekend and my Fiance booked the Royal hotel , As you enter the parking you are to take a ticket and proceed to the 3rd floor but there are no signs to indicate that you have to pay for parking . we booked in and went into the room . Number 1443 to be exact , the sofas were old and falling apart , the bench in front of the bed was faded and had holes in it , the bed was 2 single beds and one of the beds were lower then the other , the Headboards were not stuck onto the wall and kept coming forward , the Aircon came on but no effective at all . I decided to put all of that aside as we didnt want to spoil the evening , We were on our way to supper when we were advised that we have to pay a fee of R20 to leave and then another fee when we check out for parking , the ATM at the hotel was out of order and we did not carry cash , it was the most FRUSTRATING MOMENT ! We eventully borrowed R20 as it was too dangerous to walk out thr building and went for our supper ,(45MINS WASTED SORTING PARKING ISSUES ) when we returned the Key for the room was not working ,we had to go back down from the 14th floor to reception to sort this out in the most horrible elevator , I felt as if it was going to brake down at any moment , the door closed on me numerous times and took us to the wrong floors , it was scary to be in , This was the most stressful evening . The Breakfast standards have dropped , i used to spend alot of time with my family at the hotel growing up , Right now i will never return back </p>
