The Precinct Luxury Apartments Midrand - Worst Experience
I have ben staying at the Precinct Luxury (Not) Apartments for the last 2 months and have had the worst experience ever. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I have paid for a ground apartment as I have a pet and upon arrival was told that the unit I paid for was not ready as the previous person renting the apartment had taken the keys and was in the Eastern Cape, so I had to temporary move into a 1st floor unit for a period of 2 weeks. This was a nightmare since I have a pet and he was not able to use the garden as we were not on the ground floor. Subsequent to this I was then notified the unit I originally rented was available and had to move my furniture across to the new unit, as they needed to secure the unit I was temporary put was needing to get ready for the next tenant. I was then advised that they would arrange the move and provided some details for a person that would assist who then wanted to charge me R700 to move my furniture across to the original unit that I had rented. My argument is, why should I pay for the move that they had inconvenienced me with. I still did not raise any grievance and eventually moved my own furniture in the rain damaging the new bed I had just bought. I was in the unit for less than 1 month and went down to Durban to organize with the moving company to move the remainder of my furniture up to Johannesburg. Whilst in Durban I received a call from The Precinct Management team that I needed to give approval for them to gain access into the unit as the sewerage pipes burst and was flooding my unit (Which I did as I had some of my furniture and valuables in the unit). Upon my return I found damaged stuff laying out to dry on the patio outside the unit which included my daughters school books and bags, swimming equipment, all of my sons Playstation 4 games, newly purchased Bean Bag soaked in Urine and Feces. I have since queried with management to have my damaged stuff to be replaced. I have sent through an inventory list of the damaged stuff to management, but they have since only replaced a few items. I am getting no joy from them to have the rest of the damaged stuff replaced even though this has been escalated to Exec Management i.e. Evette and Nick. I have now been moved to a Third Unit within less than 2 months which anyone would find unacceptable. Giving it some thought I now realize that the reason they did not move me into the original unit at when I arrived is that there was a sewerage flooding problem in the unit and intended to delay me moving into the unit until they try and resolve it, as I find it too coincidental that there was a terrible smell in the bathroom where the sewerage occurred from the time I moved into the unit, coupled with the fact that they got into the unit with the spare keys when I was in Durban with my keys, but **** to me that the person previously renting the unit was in the Eastern Cape and did not hand the keys back, hence I could not move into the apartment for 2 weeks. They are not honorable, empathetic to the situation and not truthful about what previously transpired at the unit before I moved in. The is one of the worst experiences I ever had to encounter and there is nothing Luxury about The Precinct Luxury Apartments. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to lease/rent a place to stay. I challenge the CEO Mark to address this matter with urgency and rectify the situation, as this is reputational damage to any business/organization.
