Totally absurd quotes and treatment.

I went to the Norwood branch of Pool Team to see if I could get a recommendation for a reliable fibre glass installer for a fishpond renovation I’m doing. I was informed that they don't give recommendations because they do repairs and installations.

I was pleased to hear this because I was looking for a reputable installer to do the job.

I was informed that there is a call-out fee of R575.00 which I happily paid. About an hour later I was called and asked "if I plan in putting fish in my fishpond? because gel coat is not safe for fish"

This is absolutely the biggest BS I have ever heard in my life, because most fishponds are fibreglass. This was unfortunately my first clue that I had just been taken for a ride.

Two days later the installation guys rocked up and took a few half-****d measurements and disappeared.

When the quotation arrived, I was literally speechless. They quoted me R43500 to do 11 square meters of fibreglass. On top of it they specified a blue gel coat when I specifically asked for black. So, they clearly are not interested in listening either.

I have received two other quotes for less than half of that obscene fee, and they were given to me without a daylight ******* R575 callout fee.

I have given them the opportunity to refund me for that call out or have a revied posted and they have decided to ignore me.

Rather find another company to work on your pool or pond, these guys are out right ******* artists!!!
