********** by the Pool Team!

I live in a Complex and have a small townhouse splash pool, 4m x2.5m which is about 12 years old. Last week the timer on the pool pump packed up so I asked my wife to go to the Pool Team in Boksburg and ask them to come and replace the timer. The Pool Team asked for a "call out" fee of R440 which my wife duly paid. When the pool technician(?) arrived he said that the timer just needed to be reset. But while he was there could he replace the sand in the filter. My wife rep**** that we had replaced the sand two years ago, to which he responded that the sand should be replaced every 18 months. Not knowing any better my wife let him go ahead and replace the sand. He also repaired a leak in one of the pipes. The total to be paid was R1500. This meant that we paid a total of R440 plus R1500 to replace sand that didn't need replacing in the first place and still have a broken timer! I checked on the price of filter sand at Builders Warehouse this morning, I would have needed 2 x 40kg bags at R115 per bag. Shame on you Pool Team for *********** innocent pensioners like this, you don't deserve to stay in business.
