Borderline ********** and absolute highway ******* !

On the 6th of October I requested The Pool Team Craighall to come out and fix a leak on my pool pump body.

They requested a pre-payment for the call out of R 575, which I thought was strange considering I was a long term customer of theirs. I duly paid the call out fee and then had to wait a week for them to come out.

They eventually came out, spent 5 minutes and told me they would send a quote for what I thought was for the repair of the pump body, instead they recommended a new 1.1KW Pump and motor for R5,150 over and above the R 575 call out fee I had already paid. This I found suspicious as there was nothing wrong with the motor as it was circulating fine, the pool pump body just had a leak.

So I called another company out, who came the same day, replaced the pool pump body and charged me R1,470 for everything.

I then contacted The Pool Team and said I was not paying to replace a pump that works perfectly well for R 5,150 plus a call out of R 575 as this was borderline ********** and absolute highway *******. I requested that my call out of fee be refunded to me. They refused my request for a refund and they said they have a non refundable call out policy, but worse than this they did not even acknowledge trying to cheat a customer out of a motor that worked perfectly well. So in future: 1. I will no longer be setting foot in The Pool Teams shops and purchasing my monthly chlorine, chemicals, spare parts for my pool, Zodiac MX 8 Elite hoses, wheels etc. 2. I will never use The Pool Teams call out service ever again, of which this is not the first time I have used them. 3. I will share my story with friends and family as well as Hello Peter. Clearly The Pool Team does not work on a client service or repeat business methodology.
