Opening an account is a nightmare

On Wednesday I sent an email as I want to open my acc , I got an email from Julia Thomas stating all documents that I need to take to the store , I went to the store only to be told I had to bring my marriage certificate. The lady at the store said I can email it. I did email it this morning and still I get another email from Julia Thomas not sure if she read my email but she sent me a generic email again. Does this Julia read her emails , why is opening a store account such a hussle. I wont be able to go to the shop again.

Thank you for writing in on HelloPeter.

We will investigate this matter and get in touch with you directly.

Please note that in line with Nedbank Limited (our administrators of the Hub Account), and new FICAA legislation, we are required to have original ID documents/non SA passport and work permit/visa brought into our store for verification and FICA stamping. If your surname differs from your ID document ie. you have been married or divorced and/or have a product already listed on the Nedbank system under your ****en name, by law, we are required to obtain these documents. This is a once off process that is the norm for all financial service providers from 1 April 2019.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Hi I think on the list of documents that the person must bring you must also mention marriage certificate , because no one has the time going to the mall to submit documents bit by bit. Julia must also read her emails as when she responds with a generic email it tells me she is not doing her work , this will eliminate a lot of confusion.
