Hub charges for account being open and unused!!!!!!

The Hub charges you for not closing your account without you being advised by the Cashier when you settle your balance. No authorization was ever given to the Hub to charge me for this. Customers should be advised that their credit account should be closed. *****ing away from people who don't use them.

Please provide us with your ID, card or account number, so that we may investigate this with our administrators Nedbank Limited.  Please email us at ***.

For your general information:
  • As with all bank credit cards (Hub Account is a product of Nedbank), there is a monthly service /maintenance fee charged, which is indicated on the original Credit Agreement  that is agreed to and signed by the customer before a card is issued.  As long as the account is open, this fee will be billed.  Apart from a once off initiation fee, Nedbank only charges one fee on the Hub Account, which is the service/maintenance fee. Interest/Finance Charges are also charged for the use of credit, in line with the National Credit Regulator, on the outstanding balance.  There is no interest charged if the outstanding balance is paid up fully each month within 55 days.
  • Billings are reflected for the month prior on your current statement.
  • Closures can only be affected, once the final payment for the whole outstanding balance is made and there is a zero balance.  A request must be made as soon as this has been done ie. on requesting a closing balance, Nedbank are unable to close the account until the amount is paid and cleared and a further request for the closure needs to be made only after payment is reflecting.

Unfortunately my account was set up way before Nedbank had taken over the Hub stores.
