Bad Service

I completed an application in store (West Street Durban) about 2 weeks ago. I just thought I would follow up via email to find out what the outcome was. I haven't had a chance to with my busy schedule.

I was told via MY REQUEST that unfortunately the application was not complete due to missing information, the date I was married, while I'm divorced for over 2 years now - What baring does that information have on anything since I"M DIVORCED I have no clue. Makes baseless sense to someone at the Hub. So they await this CRUCIAL information in order for them to complete my application for credit. So I have to now give them this information or else - nothing.

Firstly - what this information is needed for is beyond me!

SEcond - why did it take me to follow up to hear that information was missing?

Why didn't someone from the store contact me????

Is this the kind of service I can explect going forward in dealing with The Hub?

Thank you for taking the time to apply for a Hub Account and for sharing your complaint on Hellopeter. The Hub Accounts is a credit facility that falls under the administration of Nedbank Limited. We are therefore required to have our customers complete the fields on the application form in compliance with banking regulations and the National Credit Act as well as other legislation.

As we value you as our customer, and we take your complaint seriously, we assure you that we will forward your complaint to Nedbank for discussion.

We will also follow up with West Street Hub branch wrt your application and will revert on the status as soon as possible.

Thank you for your response.

No where in the National Credit Act does it state that it is crucial that you have the marriage date of someone who is divorced in order to grant credit.

NO where in the banking regulation does it state that this piece of information is required for someone who is divorced.

Firstly - it defys commen sense.

I say this respectfully - please do not insult my intelligence by giving me an answer that blames a legislation I am well aware of and work with daily.

I thank you for your response and for getting back to me.

I look forward to hearing from you regarding the outcome of the application.

best regards

Craig
