Angry at Zero rated service and food received

I would give zero stars but unfortunately there is no way I cant. We had made a booking for the 18th April 2026 for between 13:00pm and 14:00pm for that date. We arrived at about 13:20pm. We were met at the door and yes we had a booking with a Hyperli Voucher of a Feast board and 2 drinks. When we arrived we could sit anywhere but had to wait for about almost an hour to get our food and when it arrived the onion rings were burnt to a crisp the wings that was supposed to be basted was raw the food in general arrived cold and the chicken skewers were no where to be found accept for 3 tiny pieces of chicken and if I say tiny I mean tiny was not on any skewer. The Jalapeno poppers were ice cold and I think the rustic fries was just about ready to eat but not hot or warm at all but luke warm. When asking about the cold food the server was apologetic and apologized and we were told that we would receive other food but on her return we were told new wings. What I expected was a fresh feast board as we had barely eaten from it but was not. When we were about to leave I enquired about a "doggy bag" for which I was told the boxes are locked away and the person who has the key was not working. When I enquired about the other table who received a "doggy bag" was given I was met with the answer that the particular "doggy bag" was the last one and that there was no more. After10 minutes the server came back and told me that they would wrap the leftovers in foil. I waited another 10 minutes and when I got up and was on my way to leave I was told to my amazement that yet another staff member would go and look for the key which I was told earlier was with a staff member not on duty that weekend had these keys. With that I went to reception to enquire as to how I could cancel the other voucher I had with them as the service received was disgraceful to say the least. My question to AHA Harbour Bridge Hotel is...why such pathetic service was provided with lack luster performance and cold food was presented by a 4 star business, when all I can give is not even 1 star for the service and food I received. I literally left what leftovers I had at the restaurant as I was not going to wait another 30 minutes while some staff member who probably didn't even want to give up the "doddy bag " to begin with was "looking for a key". Also I would like to enquire as to why they have advertised in the first place on Hyperli when this is the kind of service and food one gets because its a voucher? As I do feel my money was not well spent even if it was offered at half the price. Address - 1 Dockrail Rd, Fores****, Cape Town, 8001 ,. ***

Very Disappointed!

I sent a request for a booking for our 10th anniversary a month ago and has received no feedback only for my husband to call and be told now it's fully booked for the month of Feb. I am disgusted by this attitude of the establishment not even an apology nothing. This sets a really bad image for the restaurant and Hotel!

Horrible Management and customer services

We are extremely disappointed and disgusted with the service we received from the hospitality manager and her colleague. We purchased a voucher through Wikideal specifically to celebrate Valentine’s Day. My husband called more than 10 times and sent emails trying to make a dinner reservation before eventually getting through. He even called again afterwards to confirm that our booking was secured, and we were reassured that everything was in order. When we arrived on the day, we were shockingly told that our voucher was not valid for their Valentine’s Day special and that we would need to return another time. This was extremely upsetting, especially considering the multiple confirmations we received beforehand. The situation escalated further due to the unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour from staff. We were shouted at as we were walking out the door, which was humiliating and completely inappropriate customer service. We made a great deal of effort to plan this special evening together. We arranged childcare and paid a nanny to look after our baby, only for our Valentine’s Day plans to be completely ruined due to poor communication and lack of professionalism. To make matters worse, we are now unable to obtain a refund because the voucher was purchased in January. It is incredibly unfair that customers must carry the loss for mistakes and miscommunication on the establishment’s side. We would strongly urge management to investigate this matter and take accountability. At the very least, we believe a refund or suitable compensation should be considered, as this entire experience has been unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
