DIKHOLOLO RESTAURANT

We booked and paid for 3 nights accommodation and 3 buffet breakfasts @ R125 each. The accommodation and amenities are good but the restaurant and the food they serve is a disgrace. Firstly, there is no buffet breakfast during the week, so we could have eggs, eggs and more eggs with bacon, sausage, sweetcorn or mushrooms. The eggs were good, the bacon like leather and the mushrooms from a tin.

The restaurant manager gave us a R200 voucher for lunch to excuse the tough, dry, chicken schnitzel & inedible bacon. I assume he was too embarrassed and ashamed, or maybe just didn’t care to talk to us.

The salad was fresh but nothing exceptional for R120 and the pizza we tried, I am sure was the same as the one we buy at the supermarket in a box.

R750 we had paid for buffet breakfasts, and the most expensive breakfast they could offer was R85 which we didn’t dare have again. Eggs on toast R50 was what we received for R125 for last 2 mornings of our stay.

If you go to Dikhololo, be warned, take your own food otherwise you will be **********.
