Dikhololo resort - facilities and staff - the best by far!!!!!!!!!!!

I booked a 7-day holiday for myself, my 3 children, my mom and my sister at Dikhololo sometime in January 2023. We frequented Dikhololo over 15 years ago but finances did not permit us to return until someone gifted us their points in November 2022. I called them a week in advance to ensure that everything is still in order.

We checked in on a cold Friday, 31 March 2023 to a upgraded resort and friendly and helpful staff. We arrived at reception to a welcome drink and a snack. We received our key and went to our chalet. We inspected it and found that it was refurbished and perfect for our family. To our surprise, the Lord granted us a sunny sky just as we were unpacking the car :) .

The lodge and facilities were clean, the lady at our chalet, Elizabeth, was so kind, trustworthy and went out of her way to buy us something me did not find at the shop to which we refunded upon receipt. Simon, a teller at the shop also assisted when I went out of my budget by paying the extra R5 on my behalf - I sent my son to repay him the next morning. Where on earth have you heard that people can be so kind?

We felt at home - everywhere at the resort. The kids were safe. The animals passed the chalet and would greet us when we called them. We all had the privilege to feed the animals and oh, how blessed my 22 month old son felt when they ate from his hand.

The activities for kids was fantastic - my daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself and spent most of her time in the supertube, swimming pools, game room, decorating waffles and we all enjoyed the heated pool at night. It was so special to watch movies in the ampitheatre - something I've never experienced. The desserts at the restaurant was lovely!

Let's not forget the ground staff who knocked on the door one morning to inform that we had a flat tyre. With my permission, they removed the tyre, took it somewhere and brought it back fixed in less than 15mins. I am still stunned by how efficient the staff are!

From the moment we arrived to moment we left - the staff, guests and facilities were absolutely amazing!!!!! We are already planning our return before the end of this year.

I can go on and on but you should go and see it for yourself - it's a beautiful home away from home in the bush :)
