SSL certificatres

We have had our SSL certificate with Thawte for the last 15 years. Unfortunately the person who registered our company with Thawte has left our company. While they did send timely reminders of our subscription expiry date to the company they used the email address of the employee who had subsequently left the company. When the licence expired they simply removed the certificate. We have tried without success to just get a new licence code. We have paid the licence in full otherwise I would go to another company more competent. If your website requires an SSL certificate, it is critical you have one. While the initial problem of the expiry was our fault it should not take 10 days to issue a new licence. If we were new and they needed to verify us, that is one issue. But we have been using Thawte since we installed the certificate in 2004. Frankly their service is so bad that I have rtequested a refunbd an will elsewhere They ignore email correspondence exceptionally well.
