Venting About TFG Telemarkter Calls!

I have been a Forchini card holder for 17 years. Great credit record, always paid on time, no problems, even during Lockdown level 5, I made sure my account was kept up to date. Anyway, minding my own business today I receive a call from Chantel at Head Office to "Thank Me" for being a loyal customer and to inform me "I have been selected to receive Club member Benefits". To which I respond "Do those benefits entail me paying towards them? Her reply "Only if you use them ma'am" which tells me I will need to spend money for those and in these times of financial strains due to the disruptions of COVID, no one has money to play around with Club Magazines. So I tell her, during her pause in speech *mind you* "Im Sorry, I am not Interested, as I would have to spend money for those." This is where she should have "Thanked me for taking her call and said her goodbyes. Instead she changes her tone, interrupts me and says I interrupted her when she wanted to tell me what those benefits are. So I went Left!!!!!!!

I understand she had a script to read and I was not going to waste my time and hers by having her go through a list of "benefits" that I have to pay for and indicated I AM NOT INTERESTED in. I did not just cut her off whilst speaking, she paused and I took my chance to let her know that I am not interested. I work in a Service Industry, I understand dealing with rude customers, Ive been there and thus I shall never put anyone in that predicament.

What I will not tolerate as a customer is having a TELEMARKETER get aggressive with me when I decline a service and try and turn it around as if I am at Fault. I get you are trying to meet your quota but you lady have no telephone etiquette to be in customer service. So at the end Chantel, you deserved me hanging up on you, as I was not gonna go back and forth with you trying to "defend" myself over something I did not do.

In Future, if a customer says they are not interested, either ask them for a reason to complete a survey or take that as a sign that they will not sign up for your benefits and therefore you must end the call as you will be wasting your time and theirs.

So to the TFG headoffice, maybe as a crucial element of your quality assurance procedures, maybe have your supervisors listen into some of these calls we get as customers and hear how most of the "rude customer" dealings are first instigated by your employees.

Im sick and tired of hearing people say customers are always rude to telemarketers when some are reacting to rude telemarketers who get irritated when they realise they wont "sale"!

TFG, I have never had an issue with yall in 17 year, dont start with me now.
