TFG Service charges are insane! R20 for a call???

Absolutely pathetic billing system resulting in no end to your account so its just a money making scheme

Charges above detail that the charges for SMS,Calls and Email came to a total of R131.20 when my interest amount was just R15.21 and service fee was R15.00? How is it possible that you guys charge me 9 times the amount due just for calls and SMS? I don't even receive calls or SMS because after asking them to update my number numerous times they still call a family member to discuss my account. Not to mention this is a monthly occurrence so in a year I may be paying R1560 in service charges????

YOU GUYS ARE *******. How is it possible for me to pay off my account and finally close it with the ****PY service I've received when you guys keep adding and adding charges on to my account for calls,SMS and Emails that I don't receive???

Good day Ryan Bisnath

If your Account goes into arrears, you will be charged debt collection fees for the period that your account remains in arrears, including charges for mail, electronic communication and telephone calls made to you to collect amounts due to us.

Yes i understand that fully but did you not read? I clearly stated that I've asked for my number to be changed which it hasn't so I'm paying for calls, SMS and emails THAT I'M NOT RECEIVING. How can you logically charge a client R131.20 for service that they have not received? IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. It would be logical if i were receiving the calls but I'm not. I bet you guys would understand if an Ombudsman had to explain my grievance to you guys. HOW IS IT FAIR TO CHARGE R131.20 FOR R15.21 OVER DUE? OF COURSE THERE ARE CHARGES FOR DEBT COLLECTION BUT I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND HOW YOU GUYS PLACE A COLLECTION FOR THE AMOUNT OF R15.21???

Hi Ryan

The previous response was to advise how you may go about updating your contact details.

All personal information, including contact details that our collections team would use to contact a customer on, is provided to us by customers themselves. When these details change it is the responsibility of the customer to contact us to have them updated.

Failure to do so would not prevent collection charges from being charged to the account.

Kind regards
