TFG employees bad attitude
Good Day I have written \ complained about this issue before and sincerely hope that this time, maybe something will be done re the matter. The complaint I have is partly general and partly something in particular that has happened to me at the various stores within The Foschini Group. Yesterday when paying my account, the staff member who took my payment loudly said what my instalment was and then looked at me, I then got quite annoyed and said, yes I know what my instalment is but that is not what was due. She then proceeded to give me the correct amount which was due, and I explained the following to her: 1. When they mention what the instalment is, the manner in which it is said, is as if that amount should be paid straight away. Which is not the case. It is also said in a very condescending manner. 2. I explained that I pay a weekly amount on my account, so the instalment amount is not always the same as the total due amount. Therefore she cannot tell me what the instalment amount is, as I monitor this online. I'm sure most TFG customers receive sms notifications as well. 3. Also, the amount due should be paid by the 01st of every month - yesterday was the 26th, so therefore I am paying the account a week in advance. I totally understand that every customer's preference is different, therefore I feel the following should happen. Staff handling or taking payments should either only mention what the TOTAL DUE is, or wait until the customer either asks them what their instalment or total due is, thus eliminating unnecessary awkwardness or embarrassment. Presently, the way payments are handled, is making customers feel like *********. I have always kept my account up to date, as well as pay a little bit extra (this can be checked on my payment history), and I don't appreciate some TFG staff being arrogant and ****y when taking payments. Customers should be treated with just a bit more courtesy. I feel the saying, the customer always comes first, does not apply any longer with some TFG employees, which is quite sad.
