TFG Bad Service
My wife successfully paid her TFG account on 22 November 2024 via EFT. The installment was reflected on the December invoice. She then paid the next installment on 27 December 2024 to the same account as the previous installment (which was received and shown on her statement). On 3 January she received a SMS informing her that her December 2024 installment is still outstanding. We then forwarded the proof of payment from the bank, showing the date of 27 December, as well as the statement reflecting the installment paid in November and wrote the whole story on an email. This email was send to *** on 3 January 2025. No acknowledgement was received from them. We then received calls from them, asking for payment. My wife explained the situation to them to no avail. On 6 January Nonzamo Lottering from TFG phoned. After my wife explained the situation, again, she informed us that she will send an email to which we must reply with the Proof of Payment which we duly did. The harrasment kept up with SMS messages and emails informing us that we will be reported to a credit bureau and that interest will be added to the outstanding amount. Today we went to an @Home store near us to try and sort the matter out. The Floor Manager was very friendly and helpfull. She contacted the Customer care and Credit Collection departments and eventually after an hour and a half, they told us that the matter will be sorted within 24 to 72 hours. Why was it neccessary for all this hassle when somebody clearly did not do their job. Also, nobody bothered to reply to any of our emails to notify us that they are looking into the matter. Absolutely poor service!!!
