Selling items online that are not available and not refunding after 3 weeks and counting

I had one of the most frustrating and disappointing online shopping experiences with TFG. TFG is by far the most inefficient and ********* online service provider I have ever dealt with, so much so that I will never purchase through them again.

I purchased a unit for over R12400 online from @home on 31 July 2019. I contacted the TFG online service few days after and was told my delivery is expected by 08 August 2019. However on 08 August 2019 there was no delivery and no contact or progress on delivery, therefore I made contact with TFG again only to find out that the unit is not available. This meant payment to the value of over R12400 was accepted by TFG for an item that was not even available.

To make matters worse and add to the inconvenience and frustration, they refuse to revert the transaction unless I provided a bank statement. This clearly does not make sense, since this transaction should have never taken place and should be reverted immediately as it stems from the lack of effective online inventory management by TFG and in essence lack of integrity for accepting and then retaining monies for items they don’t have in stock to sell in the first place.

I readily provided them with the bank statement. However it’s been almost 3 weeks since the transaction has been made and my monies have not been returned, neither have I received any feedback by when it will be returned. This refund was not for an item returned, I stress the point that it was for payment made for an item that was later found not to be in stock. I should not have to wait 2-3weeks or more for my money to be returned. I have contacted TFG numerous times since the transaction with several calls and emails after the bank statement was issued, but online service consultants have no sense of urgency and fail to provide valuable feedback.

I am extremely unsettled as many attempts to get my money back has been fruitless. This is completely *********ly of TFG. TFG return my money immediately!
