Poor Service in Updating Credit bureaus

I had a Foschini account and app**** for debt review and in 2015 i found out theres also a Fashion express acc which i didnt know of so i then went to them and i was told to fill up some documents and they will do an investigation i even did an affidavit and every 2 weeks when i went for feedback in the Durban west street branch i would find a different person who knew nothing about my account and the documents were never found... i did that process 3 times and i was fed up in such a way that i even called the manager at one point asking how does their filing system work and why do all the people i give my documents to have suddenly left the company so i then rescinded my court order and started making contact wth TFG so i can pay all my accounts. Court order was rescinded on Dec the 12th so I then paid both the accounts in full in Dec 2016. In February i requested my credit report and my credit report showed that I owed Foschini and Fashion express ... and till May i have been calling for them to close the accounts because it is affecting my report negatively and i am now in arrears for 3 months because of the added interest every month whereas i was told my account is closed. They then told me to call their attorneys n get paid up letters finally... I then started calling Easton barry and they acknowledged that the account was paid in full however, they informed me that Foschini must update the credit bereuas with this information. Upon calling Foschini, I was sent back to Easton barry and upon nagging for a month and calling them every second day until someone told me that they will send me my paid up letter. Paid up letter was sent on 17 May 2017 and I immediately forwarded it onto Foschini with an email stating that they update my details but even now it is not updated and i then called their customer service AGAIN .. then some lady told me they can never close my account because it went through attorneys but it will stay like that for 2 years??? I mean what sort of nonsense is that??? According to my knowledge when a consumer pays off the account the creditor should inform ITC and the account be closed and the only thing that should be left for 2 years is my payment history ... which is now *****ed because this account is still open and the interest is increasing monthly and that is affecting my name. I am appauled that a large group like TFG has no way of ensuring that customer details are updated regularly especially in these economic times. My name has been dragged through the mud and i am dissapointed and angry. I cant imagine how many other Consumers are being denied credit due to stores that dont update credit bereaus when accounts have been paid in full ... this means TFG practically cant do their jobs properly.
