Poor Quality Shoes and Unsatisfactory Customer Service at Jet Protea Glen Soweto
On Friday 27th September 2024, I purchased a pair of shoes from your store JET ( Protea Glen Soweto) with the expectation that they would provide comfort and quality for daily wear. However, after wearing the shoes to work today, I experienced severe discomfort, which resulted in painful blisters. Clearly, the shoes did not meet the standard of quality I had anticipated.
In an effort to resolve the issue, I visited the store and spoke with the manager . I brought the shoes along as requested, only to be informed that no assistance could be offered because I had worn them. The manager referred me to the terms on the back of the receipt, stating that the item must be in its original condition and sealed for a return. I understand that stores have return policies, but I did not expect a lack of flexibility in addressing a legitimate concern about product quality and customer safety.
When I purchased the shoes, it was with the full intention of using them, and I did not foresee that they would cause harm to my feet. The fact that I am being refused any form of assistance or resolution after the product failed to serve its intended purpose is deeply frustrating, especially in such challenging economic times when every purchase should reflect good value for money.
As a loyal customer of TFG/Jet, I feel let down by the lack of customer care and the refusal to acknowledge the defect in the product. I expect a brand like TFG/Jet to value its customers and provide solutions when products do not meet the required standards of comfort or quality. This experience has left me questioning the brand's commitment to customer satisfaction.
