Poor Customer Experience, False Advertising; Zero Accountability from TFG

I walked into an @home store in Cresta. Where I saw a Couch being advertised at R22k and then an option to pay R1690.00 over 6 months for the couch.

I proceeded to open an account, which was never my intention until I saw the deal on offer and when we were done purchase the couch over the 6months @ R1690 as advertised.

I was then told its an error and I was like I went through all this admin to open an account and compromised my credit score and supp**** my confidential information all on false advertising. They ladies in store were extremely helpful and said I should reach out to customer care, they gavw me the number and all adn advised thay they were not at liberty to do anything about it as the manager was not in store.

I followed the channel, called customer care, followed up and a week layer I got a call from the instore manager who said he would also escalate the call.

I got an email today stipulating that it was an error and they are offering 25% off only the couch and that their position remains unchanged. I mean geezz, is that how @home treats their customer? Firstly disappointing for such a reputable brand. Secondly they dont want to admit to the major inconvenience this has caused me.

They should offer the couch on the advertised amount as what they then did is false advertising and was extremely misleading.

The extremely disappointed TFG as a whole as I generally sought out their stores because I love the brand. They are soo wrong and there is zero Accountability and the remedial offer is insulting to me as a customer.
