Ntando, Thabo and THABANG should be ARCHIVED!!!!
Three weeks ago I went into the Archive Store in Gateway to make a payment. I distinctly told the cashier Ntando I wanted to pay R100, she then takes the store card to swipe and then says, "You want to pay R400?", I tell her no, I want to pay R100 only. Ntando captures the payment of R100 and gives a slip for the POS device. I asked her for my receipt, the one that states I'm paying an account. She INSISTED that was the receipt. I explained what a receipt should like, it should show a name of the account holder atleast. She calls another lady, they speak in Zulu and they ask me to swipe the bank card again. The transaction declined. I begin to question why do I need to swipe again when I need only a receipt. The other lady explained that Ntando typed in R400 and they need to do a refund which still did not make any sense. They called Thabo, who did not come immediately because he was busy with his own conversations. Eventually after atleast 10 minutes, Thabo decides to come. As a "manager" you would think he would acknowledge the person infront of him but he didn't bother. After a while when he needed to explain what Ntando did, then he decides to greet me. I once again said, I ONLY WANT A RECEIPT FOR THE PAYMENT I MADE INTO SOMEONE ELSES ACCOUNT. They still couldn't provided that. They insisted that the money would be refunded into the account holders account yet the slip said transaction cancelled. After constant explanation of me needing a slip of proof of payment that I made into that specific account I asked Thabo to write a letter that I did come into store. I told him by the next morning, I should have the receipt even if it's via email. The next morning I get cc'd on an email to THABANG Morake about this *incident". I waited for any form of communication from the boss as stated on email but till this day I received none. It goes to show that the fish rots from the Head. If THABANG could not contact me and ask me what transpired, it only proves as to why the staff at Archive Gateway behave in that manner. Till this day, 3 weeks later, no funds have been reversed bank into the account of the 3rd party. The staff at the store as well as Thabang did absolutely nothing to date to get me the receipt yet I emphasised that I was making payment on behalf of someone. They could have did a reprint or even contact their IT department that Monday to retrieve the proof of payment, yet all they did was stand, talk in Zulu and laugh. To the TFG, please take note of the type of employees you have, no customer service skills and no respect whatsoever!
