Mr, Miss, Mrs, He, She, They Matter more than actual information. TFG Group against self identification

So I app**** for a TFG account and was declined because of the Prefix on my Bank Statement saying Mr and not Miss or Mrs. The bank account number, ties up with my payslip and my ID number but the fact that it says mister I was told this is not my bank statement I am using someone elses bank statement. This is odd seeing that I have been using this same account for more than 3 years I could confirm all my details with them etc. So am I to understand that Mr is the unique identifying number used to confirm details for all applicants. What is if I identified as a man, would the TFG group beholding that against me. Surely the account number, payslip, ID number etc. if what matters but not for the TFG group what you identify as on your bank statement is what matters
