Do NOT ORDER FROM hi online
Good day. I would like to express my utmost disappointment in your service. I placed an order for a phone online
Re: Order no p***
This order was placed on Sunday, after a long wait the courier arrives this evening (17h00). They call to let me know that I should bring my ID Copy & proof of residence.
I quickly scramble for this as I was not informed that this is a requirement (especially since you request ID number when purchasing). I eventually find a proof of address although it is older than 3 months. I'm told that they cannot accept it. Now I'm literally explaining to the delivery man that A) I was not informed of this and B) We are under lockdown, how am I supposed to get a proof of address?
They ask if I do not have a store account? At this point my temperature is rising because this whole thing is absurd, I have my ID and I'm at the address. They left with my parcel with my phone. It's unfortunate that that phone is urgently needed. If that phone is not delivered by end of business 7 August, I would like a refund on my order.
And no, I am not going to risk my life to go ask for a proof of address at the ward counsellors offices when the whole premise of online shopping is to aid convenience. If I wanted the inconvenience of being sent from pillar to post I would have squared up with covid and went to the mall.
Come on guys! It's really not rocket science. If these documents are a requirement, ensure the customer is aware of this A) Prior to checkout B) Post checkout C) On day of delivery
This is international std practice
Thank you kindly.
