Charged me for all SMSs & Calls
I get charged for TFG to send me SMSs on a number that doesn't even exist anymore because their system of changing your cellphone number is so backwards. You sound like a ***** loan business, charging customers for SMSs that YOU are sending to us. We don't ask to be sent messages. I don't want to hear from you. I pay my account on time. What else could you possibly have to discuss with me? I have also noticed other users on this site being charged for calls, letters and any form of communication. You're a bunch of con artists doing shady business and I hope your business gets run into the ground once people start realizing you are charging them for your own operations expenses.

10 Jan 2019, 11:59Good day Christina-pretorius2,
Thank you for addressing your concern.
TFG collections SMS’s sent out on the 2nd.
· If a payment is not received by the due date, we have the right to charge a collection SMS. This is not a “courtesy SMS / SMS service” which clients subscribe to. It’s a charge billed in terms of the Debt Collectors Act because payment is late.
· Our systems, like most credit providers are automated and regulated processes are app**** when accounts become overdue.
· TFG is compliant with relevant legislation and though this may seem harsh in certain instances, we do reserve the right to manual intervene in certain exceptions and reverse charges that were processes automatically.
· We have reviewed your query and determined that the charges that were added to your account was done correctly and in line with legislation.
As a valued client we have reversed the 2 x R2.80 SMS charges and we hope that you understand that we are acting within the legislative framework whilst trying to retain client goodwill. If you require any further clarity, please feel free to contact the Customer Services Department on ***.
Thank you for addressing your concern.
