Account payment Terms and Conditions

I sent an email to TFG - re: payment dates, FTG account needs to be paid by the 1st of the month, as a Government employee, I only get paid of the very last day of the month, if you pay by eft, it does not reflect by the 1st of the month, therefore you always come up as a late payer, you seriously need to review this, as I am sure I'm not the only one that this happens to, below is the email reply i received. Jip, terms and clauses that was just copied and pasted to the reply. Really not happy with this reply and no I DO NOT want a debit order.

We would like to point out that the due date for payment is clearly set out on your monthly statement as follows: “TOTAL DUE (By 1st)”. Furthermore, our terms and conditions state in clause 9.5.2 If you do not pay your full Instalment by the Due Date, interest will be charged as per clauses 9.3 and 9.4 above until the correct payment is received.

The terms and conditions that were in place when you opened your account, which you accepted at the time of opening your account, similarly stated “Foschini shall send monthly statements to the Credit Receiver setting out the total amount paid by the credit Receiver since the prior monthly statement, the total amount still owing by the Credit receiver as at the statement date and the minimum payment due by the Credit receiver and the due date thereof” Payments must be made on the 1st of a month, failing which charges will be incurred.
