5months overdue refund

I made an order in September 2020, after a few days I received an email stating that they had no stock on the item, therefore I should fill in a form with my banking details and the money will be refunded in 10 days. Formed where filled in and resend back to them. Days have passed and when I called to inquire, I was told to email a statement which I did. Still months have passed, I’m on a call with different consultants everyday and I’m being told the refund has been filled and money will be paid to my account.

Why should it take this long
