SIM CARD NOT ACTIVATED FROM 25 SEP
I have cancelled my contract on 16 August and was told that the cancellation will be done by 16 September 2018. my phone lost network coverage on Friday 21 September but due to the fact that it was a busy weekend for me I could not even call them to check what was wrong. I called one2one after the long weekend on 25 September and was told it will take between 24 to 48 hours but might even take longer than that due to technical issues that MTN has. I called after 48 hours then I was told that it takes up to 48 WORKING HOURS not just 48 hours (but I did not hear this on the first call) , I mean who on earth can survive six days without an active line? worse that they say it can even take longer than that due to technical issues. Before even considering their technical issues that they are experiencing, their turn around time of 48 working hours (six day) does not make sense in this era that we live in. What drove to cancel this **** of a contract was the fact that every time I had a problem with my line after hours I had to wait till the next business day to have my issue resolved. The last push was when I had to do a swim swap and was told that I have to wait for 48 hours before my number can be active... I decided right there that I was cancelling this contract. fast forward to today (04 Oct 2018) sim card is still not activated from 25 Sep 18 (the day I called them but my phone lost network coverage on 21 Sep 2018 . This such an inconvenience for me as a woman in business, My clients cant get hold of me. When I called them for a follow up I am told that there's nothing they can do as there are people who are waiting to be activated from AUGUST. When I agreed to this contract I was not even aware that it that I will no longer be serviced by MTN... I only found out when my number started delaying SMS and MTN said I must go to Foschini to have my issue resolved and guess what? it was after hours...
