Frustration and Dissapointed - one2one

I have a contract with one2one for the last year. Not happy with their offers, I've decided to rather cancel the contract when it was time to either re-new or cancel it. I've contacted them via their customer care line on the 12th of September to cancel my contract. I have been told me there is a 30-day notice period and that the network will stop working and the contract will come to an end on the 12th of October. On the 14th of October the phone was still connected. I phoned them again and I have been told there is a delay on cancelling contracts. They cannot tell me how long it will take. But it would probably be soon…??? Being on the road, women alone, due to my work requirements, with a phone that can stop working at any given time - this is not acceptable! How can I prepare or make sure I'm close to a store in order to reactive (RICA) my sim card again?? I can only load small amounts of airtime at a time, because, if and when the network stop working - I lose all data and airtime. On 17th October I called again - the contract is still going.... The lady I spoke to told me the same story, but did the effort to check how long the delay is on "this batch of contracts that needs to be cancelled". She then told me, this contract was supposed to have been cancelled already, but for some reason it was not. So she is going to do a manual cancellation. That, I was told, should take up to 48 hours. Being a Thursday, it could take up to the Monday...(21st October). She also “guaranteed” me there will be absolutely no charges at the end of October due to this delay… Today - 28th October - the contract and phone is still going... Still on the road, still not having the security on when this contract will all of a sudden comes to an end, and if I would be lucky enough to be close to a store to get it reactivated, is not the best of circumstance I would like to be in….!! I honestly did not realized how difficult it could be to cancel a simple contract with one2one. Being an employer of TFG myself, I feel ashamed on what customers need to deal with…..!!!
