Worthless Benett Read Appliance

I purchased a Bennett Read 28L microwave on the 10/12/2020, the unit was purchased for home use only, currently the microwave does not work , after timer is set to reheat whatever food item is place inside and start is selected, the microwave starts then after 3 seconds, the power switches off and then switches back on after 1minute, and refuses to heat any food item. I have included this item as part of my home content insurance, when the assessor came to inspect the microwave as I thought, the fault was due to loadshedding. I was informed by the inspector that the actual problem was the magnetron due to wear and tear and claim rejected, the sad part of this is that the microwave lasted just about two and half years which is really unacceptable by any standards. We as consumers expect more than that working period for this brand, I but I must say I am extremely disappointed and frustrated as now my family members have to find other means to heat our food up. Now i must purchase another microwave as I am told that to is better to purchase another microwave than to repair one with a faulty magnetron
