What is Tevo's compliance to the POPI act?

Bought a Magneto LED lantern. For the warranty I must register my device and to do that I must create an account and to do that I must provide my date of birth and gender. I do not want to do that for a tourch. Does Tevo remove my personal information after the guarantee expires?
