unhappy consumer (warranty)

good day i have purchased a iron from Game Umhlanga. brand Bennett Re Bennett read 2000w steam iron. date of purchase 14.06.20. when i visited the store that day i was informed by the sales person that this iron comes with a two year warranty. so as a consumer i was happy for that. when i visited the store 11.12.2021 to get the iron repaired i was informed that i was suppose to register the iron to qualify for the second year warranty. At the point of the sale i wasn't informed that i need to register this product online. the managers Calvin (Game) and Pretty (Tevo pty) informed me that i will be reliable to pay for the repairs. this is not fair as a consumer. i was told to book it in for repairs and they will sms me quote.
