Stay away from Bennett Read Appliances

Bought 2 irons with the hope that I will have the 2 year guarantee as advertised on their box. (Ps. Bought it at Makro) within 2 months of using the first iron it broke. It went back for repairs. Need I say the Makro attendendants couldn't explain the difference between warranty and Gaurantee (topic for another day) they repaired the iron and they said the Thermostat was broken and no one could explain what caused the wear and tear in 2 months and not 24 months.

Started using the second iron again in its 3rd month it died as well. Guess what it's the thermostat as well. Now according to my observation their thermostats are made to last for no more than 3 months (given that history repeated itself twice with the same brand, same mode just a different item.

They are refusing to exchange my iron stating that it's older than 6 months. What happened to their 24 months Gaurantee?

As for Makro, when we a customers buy a product I am not buying it from Tevo I am giving my money to Makro. The fact that when it suits them they want to pull themselves out of the equation is beyond me. Also if they are honest with themself they can check the numbers of returns they are getting per brand and this could easily tell them that this brand is the worst performing brand why they are still selling it is beyond me.
