Questionable Bennet Read Advanced Water Filtration System

I bought a bennet read advanced water filtration system from Game Store in Paarl. I used the vacuum cleaning system twice to vacuum clean my bedroom and the passage. Last Saturday, 18 August 2018, while I was busy cleaning in the passage, halfway down, I could hear the motor making strange sounds and the suctioning power also dropped. Now, I did clean the machine after I was done with the bedroom. When it started to drop in power, I cleaned it again, including the main filter - as directed on the user manual. I restarted the machine after about 45 minutes. The pwer button lit up but NO power. I turned the suctioning power button to low and gradually increased the setting to high. Still NO power. I switched it off and waited another 10 minutes. Retried and the power came on after a pause of about 10 seconds but the suction power was almost none - even at the highest setting. On Sunday, 19 August 2018, I decided that I will take it back to Game. Game Paarl adviced me that I could take it to Game Worcester as I got a lift there. At Game Worcester, a salesman from bennet read was called to assist my querry. I told him everything I experienced and said that I don't want them to repair the machine, as I could hear the motor was faulty and dead. He informed me that their company policy says that I can only get my money back if I brought the machine back within 14 days after purchase. I told him that I was not informed by the salesman at Game Paarl about their returns policy. Nevertheless, I booked the machine in for an assessment, whereafter they will decide whether they will refund me. No, I really want to support South African products but if us as consumers are given substandard or poorly manufactured products, I won't ever buy South African. I will definitely NOT going to buy any BENNET READ product ever again.
