Press-on cap exploded off of bennett read pot

Got the bennett read finesse pots for our wedding gift and we have had problems with the handles coming loose and also getting waaay too hot the whole time. Plus discoloration of pots looks terrible. I just put it down to the fact that they were cheap and maybe not great quality but tonight I was using one of them and then suddenly heard a loud bang, almost like a gunshot! And when I looked to see what it was, I saw one of the little press-on caps from the handle lying on the floor. It must have exploded off the pot and If I had been standing any closer to it I could have lost an eye or gotten really hurt. Or my pets could have gotten hurt as they were near by aswell. I don't care that they are **** quality and made of cheap materials but this is a serious danger.
