Misleading Warranty by Makor and Tevo
I bought Bennet Read Kettle in December. It is not even a month later and the power switch is faulty. It has a 24-month warranty. I called Makro and after 7 calls and 2 hours of trying to get help, I get told that I need to bring the kettle into the store, and it will take 14 days to repair. I don't have an issue bringing it into the store but 14 days is ridiculous. I then call the Tevo customer care line and after 5 calls I speak to a call centre agent who cannot speak English properly and is chewing while talking to me. He tells me that I need to take the kettle into the Tevo store, and it will take 7 days to repair. A kettle is an essential device in a household. This may seem like a petty complaint however; my objective is to demonstrate the poor attitude of Makro and Tevo. Bennet Reed is a relatively new brand, and I decided to give it a try. Clearly, Tevo and Makro are just money grabbers and are not interested in supporting their products. What do we do in the meantime? This wasn't the cheapest Kettle on the shelf.
