Kettle stopped working after 1 year 7 months - extended warranty process a nightmare

Tevo is the manufacturing company of the Bennett Read brand.

Here is my experience: purchased kettle in June 2020. Did the extended warranty of 2 years on Tevo website. It stopped working after 1 year and 7 months. Took it back to Makro. Makro advised it will take 2 - 6 weeks for an assessment to be done. This begs the question - what is the point of a warranty, where I sit without a kettle for so long. What am I supposed to use now?
