Bennett Read OR BIC Disposable vacuum cleaner?!

Purchased a Bennett Read FORCE 8 Vacuum cleaner. Just over a year ago. First had problems with the filter. Then, JUST past the expiration of the One Year Warranty, it packed up and just quit working. Built-in obsolescence? Was assured this was a quality product by a reputable company. Has turned out to be more like a BIC Disposable vacuum cleaner. Calls to customer service were futile.EXTREMELY Disappointed.
