Bennett Read One from TEVO defective ******* soldand supported by Makro

I am the unfortunate owner of two Bennet Read appliances both purchased at Makro. the first is a Bennet Read Fusion vacuum (R1699) and the second a Bennet Read ONE extraction vacuum (R3999). The Fusion refused to charge after 18 months and so it was booked in for repair last week via Makro. The ONE, purchased on 13 June 2020, refused to spray and started to overheat on 5 July 2020...after the 15 calendar days...on second use and yes, I did follow the troubleshooting remedies to no avail. The water tank was filled, the spray cord had no kinks or obstructions and was held in position with no twists, everything was connected properly and the waste water tank was clean. Naturally, Makro and the clueless reps of TEVO refused to refund the money for the product stating that TEVO will have to assess the vacuum first. Ordinarily, I would not mind but here TEVO sits with BOTH my vacuums leaving me extremely frustrated and without any vacuum for at least 21days. Of course, neither Makro nor TEVO representatives had a cooking clue of the implicit warranty accorded customers by section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act. I made plain that I did not want a repair but a refund as I had lost faith in this brand...but no, here I am having to wait 21 days for TEVO...not that they have thus far bothered to inform me of the progress as regards the Fusion vacuum...Consumers beware the Bennett Read brand...don't waste your money rather go for reputable German brand. I am out of pocket R5698 and I have no vacuum...and I must again, despite my extreme high risk morbidity factor, go and stand in long queues at Makro at least another 2 times in the future. Since Makro, insists on stocking this brand and could not care to update their returns policy given the COVID climate, I have taken a principled decision never to buy another product from Makro ever again. Everytime that I was at Makro, one or other customer was in line to return a Bennett Read product. As for TEVO, they are a substandard company with useless after sales support. Can't even buy a battery easily despite TEVO sales person guaranteeing that they can order the parts (which it later transpired they cannot). At their prices, I was a fool not to have rather purchased a Miele/Bosch/Siemans...but never again Makro or TEVO!
