Bennett Read cool touch white kettle complain

Please explain why the kettle i bought in Feb of 2022 is not heating up. Previous to this I had a cheap brand that lasted me a good 4years. Cool touch white 1.7l from bennett read can't even do 6months. Yet my 199 kettle did 4yrs. It's a shock and dissatisfaction at high levels.
