Bennett Read 7kg Washing Machine (Sponono)

I just bought the 7kg washing machine and I'm so disappointed. As I fill up the machine with water for washing, it is simultaneously draining the water out. Am I supposed to be continuously refilling with water throughout the wash cycle? I feel ****med.
